Creating a Citation in Opposing Viewpoints in Context

  • You are in the Opposing Viewpoints in Context database
  • You have an article open and you are looking at it on your computer screen
    • Option 1:
      1. Scroll down to the bottom of the article
      2. Look for the heading, "Source Citation"
      3. Copy and past the citation into whatever document you are creating for the assignment
    • Option 2:
      1. This will take three or four clicks and a new window will open
      2. Pay attention to what's happening on your screen
      3. Click the "Citation Tools" link on the right side of the web page
      4. Select MLA 7th Edition radio button
      5. Click the "Download" button
      6. Open the new window
      7. Copy and past the citation into whatever document you are creating for the assignment

Here is an example of the information contained in a citation. The citations below do not indent after the first line, which is a MLA format requirement.
