Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is accessible through your phone using Google Chrome. If you do not have Google Chrome installed on your phone, please use the App store to download for free.
For accessing Blackboard Collaborate Ultra sessions from your mobile device, follow steps below:
Step 1. Open Google Chrome and type gwinnetttech.blackboard.com in your address bar
Step 2. Scroll down until you see the BIG BLUE LOGIN button. It will be in the module box labeled "Faculty and Students"
Step 2. Login using your Gwinnett Technical College credentials
Step 3. Scroll down to your "Course list" module and click on the correct course where the Collaborate Session is located:
Step 4: You will need to expand the course menu. If you look on the left side of the screen, you will see a Blue bar running down the side. You will have to tap on this blue bar to open the course menu.
Step 5. Once the Course menu has been expanded, you will tap on "Lessons"
Step 6. Navigate to the Collaborate Ultra link
Step 7. Click on the Collaborate Ultra link and you will be directed to the list of sessions available for your course.
Step 8. Tap on the correct Session and it will give you the option Join the session or the number to call in along with the pin you will enter.
Please note that if you call in you will be able to listen in and talk if needed. We suggest that you mute your phone to eliminate background noise during the session.
Step 9. If you decide to join the session, you will see the following screen:
Step 10. On the bottom right of the screen, you can tap on the arrows to expand the options for the chat and participants (See Screen shot below):
Step 11. In step 9 screen shot, you can see 3 bars on the top left. This is the Session Menu.
If you tap "Use your phone for audio", it will provide the number and pin to call into the session.
